Title: Techno-Economic Analysis of Geothermal Energy Integration at UCD

Eleni Mangina is a Professor in the UCD School of Computer Science. Eleni carried out her PhD work at the University of Strathclyde (UK), Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, working on Agent-based applications for intelligent data interpretation. Adam Bampoulas is a postdoc researcher also working at the UCD School of Computer Science. Both Eleni and Adam are part of the Cities & Communities Strand team of NexSys.

This event, hosted by UCD Energy Institute and UCD Earth Institute, will be of particular interest to energy and environmental researchers and those involved in policy development, will consider why foresight has become standard practice, what it involves and how it can be applied.

Title: Staying Warm and Staying Connected? Energy and Transport Challenges in Later Life

Orla is a PhD Researcher in the UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice and is part of the Cities & Communities team of the NexSys Research Programme. A key component of her research is to identify and evaluate eco-social policies which address both the environmental and social challenges associated with energy. The title of her thesis is ‘Energy Justice: Addressing Transport & Residential Energy Poverty’.

Fabiola Schneider is our first speaker for this term's seminar series here at the Energy Institute. Fabiola is an Assistant Professor in Accountancy with the UCD School of Business and her current research addresses the climate emergency and sustainable transitions.
