Postgraduate Scholarships at UCD Economics

UCD School of Economics offers scholarships for postgraduate study at both Masters and PhD level.

MSc Scholarships

Scholarships are available to reduce or waive fees for applicants to our MSc programmes.

• Merit-based scholarships for UCD and EU students:

• For students from outside the EU, there are a range of different scholarships awarded through UCD’s international office, some of these vary by nationality. See here.

• Needs-based scholarships:

  • Some students may be eligible for a (opens in a new window)SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland) grant for your MSc study in 2025/26, please see their (opens in a new window)website for information and eligibility for these awards.

    Please note that if you are in receipt of a SUSI grant you are NOT eligible for any of the other fee waiver Scholarships offered by UCD Economics (UCD Student, EU, HDip/MSc Qualifier), as per SUSI T&C's.

    If you are in receipt of any of these awards from UCD Economics, you must inform us if you are successful with your SUSI application in a timely manner or both awards may be cancelled.
