UCD seeks a researcher with a strong agenda at the intersection of economics, AI, and data science. They will apply cutting-edge AI and machine learning methods to address policy-relevant topics in economics, enhancing UCD's leadership.
The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research, teach innovative modules in AI and data science for economics students, and contribute to large-scale interdisciplinary research initiatives. The role will involve collaborations with research groups across UCD, fostering applications for major funding calls, and advancing research at the frontier of economics and AI.
Candidate will disseminate their research widely and deliver impact through engagement with government, industry, and the wider community. They will establish partnerships with government agencies and Dublin’s thriving tech, finance, and pharmaceutical sectors. Candidate will develop accessible teaching materials and outreach initiatives to make AI-based methods and insights available to policymakers, industry professionals, and the public.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar Salary Scale: €62,855 - €99,533 pa

(opens in a new window)Ad Astra Fellow in Behavioural Economics and Sustainability

UCD seeks a researcher with a strong agenda at the intersection of behavioural economics and sustainability. They will apply cutting-edge methods of behavioural economics to policy-relevant topics in sustainability. Sustainability is broadly defined, including environment, sustainable economies and behaviours, sustainable development, societal challenges, health, and gender.
They will contribute to UCD's international leadership in sustainability and behavioural economics, contributing to sustainability research, collaborating with interdisciplinary groups, and contributing to large-scale research initiatives across UCD.
The candidate will deliver impact through research, teaching, and outreach. They will teach innovative modules and develop an interdisciplinary module in Behavioural Sustainability. Focusing on applied methods, this module will enhance UCD’s ambition to offer research-led teaching to diverse groups of students.
The candidate will disseminate their research widely and deliver impact through engagement with government agencies, industry, and the community. They will communicate their research to diverse audiences and explain the benefits of behavioural science methods for achieving sustainability goals.
