TRAIN: Transnational Research and Interdisciplinary Networks - Speed Dating: AHSS Meets STEM

The UCD Humanities Institute and the UCD Earth Institute are pleased to invite you to participate in the first event of the ReClaim project TRAIN: Transnational Research and Interdisciplinary Networks. This Speed Dating: AHSS Meets STEM event will take place on 25 April 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the UCD Humanities Institute, room H204 (seminar room).

This event is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration by bringing together researchers from Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (AHSS) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Light refreshments will be provided.

The event sponsored by the ReClaim funding scheme and funded by UCD Research Culture and Wellcome Trust, will begin with a brief panel discussion featuring researchers who have successfully engaged in interdisciplinary work, followed by a structured networking session where AHSS and STEM scholars will have the opportunity to introduce their research, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. Given the increasing importance of interdisciplinary and transnational research in funding applications, this event offers a unique opportunity to build connections across disciplines in an informal and supportive
setting.
