UCD Earth Institute announces inaugural Climate Fellows
The UCD Earth Institute is delighted to announce the launch of our inaugural Climate Fellows initiative, welcoming thirteen exceptional academics and early-career researchers to the programme in 2024.
Climate Fellows 2024 launch event
The 2024 Climate Fellows programme launch will take place in conjunction with the Climate Change Advisory Council Annual Review Summary Event on Wednesday 23 October 2024.
This year, the Climate Change Advisory Council published a series of reviews as part of the Annual Review 2024, culminating in the publication of the assessment of inventories and projections of emissions and cross sectoral recommendations to government.
The Council will present the key recommendations and observations from the Annual Review 2024, and will then move into moderated panel sessions that will:
- Explain the Council’s approach to developing its Annual Review
- Explore cross-sectoral challenges
- Examine how climate change is communicated in Ireland
