To transform society toward a more healthy, just and stable future, universities play a critical role but is higher education structured to engage with systemic and structural change? Can universities be transformed to co-create knowledge to reduce climate vulnerabilities and facilitate unlearning of knowledge frameworks that no longer serve humanity? Building on ideas from Jennie Stephens new book - Climate Justice and the University - this panel discussion will reimagine the role of higher education in transformative and systemic change and discuss opportunities to reclaim and restructure universities for the public good.
