Government of Ireland Scholarships

Applications for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) for 2025/26 are now closed.

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship is a prestigious award for non-EU/non-EEA students studying in Ireland. Each year, 60 scholarships are awarded across all Irish Higher Education Institutions.

What the Scholarship Includes:

  • Full tuition fee waiver

  • €10,000 stipend for one year

Eligibility Criteria (2025/26):

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be liable for non-EU fee rates

  • Be from a non-EU/non-EEA country

  • Hold an offer to study at UCD (applications without an active offer will not be considered)

  • Be entering one of the following full-time programmes:

    • A one-year taught Master’s programme

    • One year of a PhD programme

Application Timeline:

  • Application Deadline:5th March 2025

  • Results Announcement:Usually released inJune or July
