Una Watkins

Director, International Student Recruitment

Una leads the International Student Recruitment Team in Dublin and the UCD Global Centres, setting the overall direction for the University’s international student recruitment strategy across key international education markets. Una works in partnership with Shauna Hughes, Director of Global Relations, Partnerships and Mobility, to provide the vision, strategic leadership and management of UCD Global to realise the ambitions set out in UCD’s Global Engagement Strategy 2021-2024.

Molly Baskin

International Admissions Coordinator

Molly supports both the International Admissions and International Scholarships and Funding functions within the team, and is dedicated to continued development & improvement of International Admissions and Funding Processes. Molly enjoys taking on new challenges, using her creativity within everyday tasks and finding opportunities to learn new skills.

Jessica Boertje

Learning Abroad Officer

Jessica works with UCD's Colleges and Schools to develop incoming and outgoing short-term student mobility programmes, in addition to acting as a point of contact for global partners bringing Faculty-led tours to UCD in the summer.

John Bradish

International Cultural Programmes Coordinator

John organises cultural and social activities for our Study Abroad students. It could be an afternoon in Dublin city or a day trip across the island! e.g. music, theatre and comedy shows; national parks and heritage sites; cliff-walking, hiking and cycling trips

Eve Brosseau

Associate Director, Global Relations and Partnerships

Eve heads up the Global Relations and Partnerships team. She leads on the development and implementation of strategies and annual work plans, whilst managing multiple key projects and initiatives across the global relations, partnerships and networks portfolio.

Fiona Butler

Senior International Admissions Manager

Fiona leads the International Admissions team, and is dedicated to best practice and compliance, committed to promoting a culture of integrity, collaboration and transparency, ensuring parity and equity in International Admissions, achieved through training and support.

Enda Carroll

Associate Director, Learning Abroad

Enda heads up Learning Abroad which comprises of the Study Abroad and Student Mobility teams. These two teams lead on all aspects of incoming and outgoing student Learning Abroad worldwide, including year & trimester long and short-term programmes, and the related partnership and programme development.

Shamiso Chigorimbo

Global Engagement and Outreach Officer

Shamiso manages the UCD Global Lounge and Orientation programme. She is also responsible for organising events, leading student engagement activities and liaising with UCD Residences.

Sean Coffey

Recruitment Officer (Channel Management)

As part of the Global Markets and Operations team, Sean plays a key role in managing UCD’s network of education agents and representatives, ensuring strong relationships and effective recruitment strategies.

Laura Coughlan

International Operations Manager

Laura is responsible for the establishment, administration and governance of UCD’s network of overseas Global Centres. In addition, the position leads on key operations and resource management functions for UCD Global, ensuring quality and consistency of approach across the unit in Dublin and overseas. The position works closely with the Global Engagement Finance Manager and intersects with senior managers in each of the key administrative support units.

Dr Colleen Doyle

Global Alliance & Networks Officer

Colleen works closely under the direction of the Global Networks & Projects Manager to develop and implement an engagement strategy for UCD’s international networks such as Una Europa European University Alliance and Universitas 21. Colleen is Co-Senior Lead for Una Europa at UCD and the Universitas 21 Officer.

Kerry Connolly

Recruitment Manager (Channel Management)

Kerry supports the recruitment of international students through the management of UCD’s engagement with lead generator and digital promotion partners, and through targeted activity in relation to international high school engagement.

Evan Connor

Global Alliance and Networks Coordinator

Evan offers high-level administrative assistance to the complex organisational landscapes of the European University Alliance and Global Network structures, as well as ensures UCD's compliance and project success.

Michael, as part of the Global Operations team, provides operational and administrative support across the UCD Global team and for the five UCD Global Centres.

Laís Freire Gusatti

International Admissions Officer

Laís supports the Senior International Admissions team in the delivery of effective and transparent international admissions processes and systems. She coordinates closely with the UCD Global Centres to develop and manage efficient operational processes and training to improve workflow, consistency and accuracy.

Doireann Gilna

International Funding and Scholarship Manager

Doireann provides oversight and management of the International Scholarships and Funding team, as well as steers the development of policies and projects around international scholarships and funding. She oversees the management of a range of loan programmes for international students, including US Federal and private loan programmes and Canadian education loan programmes.

Andrew Grier

Student Immigration Assistant

Andrew acts as the first point of contact for international students looking for immigration support and related issues. His responsibilities include responding to telephone and email inquiries relating to student immigration, and liaising with students about specific requirements, appointments, documentation and events.

Monika Gut Grzejdziak

International Scholarships Coordinator

Monika supports all processes around non-EU student scholarships and funding, especially student queries concerning international scholarships, North American student aid and funding. She also assists with the administration of US Federal Student Aid, including application processing and regular enrolment reporting.

Charlotte Hall Tiernan

International Admissions Coordinator

Charlotte supports the International Admissions process, including training and support for the Global Centres. She is the first point of contact for staff queries via the Global Admissions inbox.

Deirdre Healy

Associate Director, International Student Recruitment

Working closely with Una Watkins, Deirdre provides leadership to the Dublin-based International Student Recruitment and Admissions teams and UCD's network of Global Centres overseas.

Shauna Hughes

Director, Global Relations, Partnerships and Mobility

Shauna Hughes is the Director of Global Relations, Partnerships and Mobility, leading the development of existing and new partnerships, as well as guiding UCD’s academic leaders in developing strategic partnerships and supporting mobility initiatives. Shauna works in partnership with Una Watkins, Director of International Student Recruitment, to provide the vision, strategic leadership and management of UCD Global to realise the ambitions set out in UCD’s Global Engagement Strategy 2021-2024.

Global Markets & Operations Manager

Katie leads the Global Market & Operations team within UCD Global. This team focuses on student recruitment, admissions and operations through various systems and channels.

Olga Kierans

Global Relations Coordinator

Olga supports the implementation of the global relations function within UCD Global and provides administrative support on events, incoming and outgoing delegations, and international partnership management.

Abigail Lalor

Senior Recruitment Manager (Europe)

Abigail has a wide range of responsibilities in relation to the university's engagement in Europe. She develops, delivers and monitors annual and/or biannual regional plans for Europe, incorporating targets for International student recruitment and marketing, partnerships and stakeholder relations and student and community engagement.

Sylvia Leatham

Una Europa Communications Officer

Sylvia manages, develops and delivers communications for Una Europa’s Una Futura project to internal and external stakeholders. She is responsible for raising awareness of Una Europa and other global networks and projects among the UCD community.

Zoe Liston

UCDVO Programme and Education Officer

Zoe is the Programme and Education Officer with UCD Volunteers Overseas. She is involved in many aspects of the Volunteering and Development Education Programme but in particular, aspects around pre-departure, volunteer return and continuous engagement.

Dr Shane Lordan

Global Networks and Projects Manager

Shane leads the Global Networks and Projects Team, overseeing UCD's involvement in global networks such as Universitas 21, UNICA, and our European University Alliance, Una Europa, for which he is Co-Senior Lead at UCD. He also manages the UCD Global Engagement Seed Fund.

Catherine Lovett

Una Futura Projects Officer

Catherine serves as project manager for UCD’s participation in Una Europa’s 4-year Una Futura project. She collaborates with a range of UCD stakeholders as well as the central Una Europa team to ensure a strong link between the Una Europa Alliance and the university.

Sorcha Lyne

UCDVO Programme Assistant

Sorcha provides high level administrative and operational support for the volunteering and global citizenship education programmes. She also assists in the development of new projects and initiatives, and contributes to UCDVO's five year strategic plan, Inspiring Global Citizens.

Alisha Mahtani Williams

Global Mobility Coordinator - Engagement

Alisha provides administrative support for student and staff mobility programs, ensuring effective communication and coordination with incoming students and partner institutions. She manages Erasmus+ grant payments, monitors student engagement with the UCD Digipass module, and supports the development of systems to improve exchange and mobility processes.

Anna Majek

International Recruitment Coordinator

Anna assists prospective students from around the world in their journey to become part of the UCD community. She collaborates with these students and educational partners to ensure they understand the application process and to address any questions they have about transitioning to life at UCD. She is dedicated to helping and supporting students on their path to UCD and life in Ireland.

Caroline Mangan

Associate Director, Global Community

Caroline leads the Global Community Team, working closely with faculty, staff and students across UCD to develop international student supports, student engagement, intercultural awareness, and global engagement opportunities for students and staff.

Ruth Mariani

Global Projects Officer

As the Global Projects Officer, Ruth is responsible for the implementation of a range of funded projects, including Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders in pursuit of key aspects of UCD’s global engagement agenda.

Paula McBride

College Finance Manager

Paula is the Finance Manager within the Office of Global Engagement. She has responsibility for financial control and planning. Paula provides advice and expertise in reviewing current and future finance-related activities

Sarah McEvoy

Senior International Admissions Officer

Sarah has responsibility for the Oversight and Governance of all aspects of International Admissions Processes. With a passion for problem solving, she works closely with the Senior International Admissions Manager as well as the rest of the Global Admissions team, the Global Centres, UCD Registry and colleagues across the university to ensure parity and equity for all applicants whilst upholding the admissions policies and procedures.

Brandon McLean

International Recruitment and Admissions Assistant

Brandon is part of UCD Global and enjoys helping prospective students from all over the world become part of the UCD community. He works with future students and educational partners overseas to understand the application process and answer any questions related to transitioning to life on campus. Brandon is passionate about making sure everyone has a great experience and is excited to support UCD's global connections. He’s here to help and support the journey to UCD and living in Ireland!

Global Community Assistant

Leo acts as the main point of contact at the Reception Desk in the UCD Global Office in Dublin, assisting with phone, email and walk-in queries, and supporting events and visitors in the UCD Global Lounge. Leo also assists with the administration of various UCD Global events and programmes within the Global Engagement & Outreach Function.

UCDVO Manager

With almost 20 years’ experience in a variety of head office and field based roles in the humanitarian and international development sector, Hilary is responsible for all aspects of UCDVO, including implementation of the charity's strategic plan and line management of the team.

Tajana Mohnacki

Global Networks and Projects Assistant

Tajana Assistant provides administrative support towards the delivery of UCD’s engagement with international networks and consortia, and coordination of Erasmus+ funding opportunities. They are the first point of contact for Erasmus+ ICM mobility participants.

Lara Morais

Student Immigration Adviser

Lara provides immigration advice and guidance for UCD students and staff members who may be advising students about their immigration requirements for studying in Ireland.

Global Partnerships Officer

Jack leads on the implementation of target-driven strategies to expand the scale of UCD’s global collaborations. He works closely with the Global Partnerships Team on providing information, guidance and support on global partnership development, approval, and monitoring.

Social Media Coordinator

Sophia helps managing all UCD Global social media platforms, playing a key role in enhancing brand visibility and video creation, further developing the social media strategy.

Rachel Ni Dhugain

Global Community Integration Coordinator

Rachel designs, delivers and assists with the administration of programmes, workshops and events which support the cultural adjustment, integration, safety and wellbeing for students and staff at UCD. Her responsibilities include research of international best practice models for cultural integration and student experience initiatives and assisting with data collection on the impact of student experiences on students and staff at UCD.

Mary O’Connor

Global Collaborations Officer

Mary works with academics, to support due diligence and approval procedures in the management of global university partnerships, ensuring strict adherence to UCD procedures. She also facilitates the negotiation and drafting of university agreements with external partners. She manages the University's global partnership portfolio, providing high-level service, effective communication, and efficient processing of partnership proposals.

Delia provides high level executive and administrative support to the Vice-President for Global Engagement and strategic project support to the Director - Global Engagement Strategy.

Michelle Power

Global Relations Officer

Michelle leads on the implementation of the global relations function within UCD Global, with a particular focus on global partnerships, events, incoming and outgoing delegations. She coordinates with the Partnerships team to foster relationships with strategically significant global partner institutions, organisations, individuals, and major national Government stakeholders.

Global Relations & Partnerships Manager

Aidan leads the Global Partnerships team, which strategically manages UCD's portfolio of global partnerships and provides expertise to the UCD community on all aspects of partnership design, relationship management, and review. The team is also responsible for driving UCD's global relations agenda, managing inbound and outbound delegations, events, and partner communications.

Penny leads on the implementation of target-driven strategies to expand the scale of UCD’s global collaborations. She works closely with the Global Partnerships Team on providing information, guidance and support on global partnership development, approval, and monitoring.

Roslyn manages the HR & Projects Team. She handles all HR matters for UCD Global and leads on the implementation of UCD Global’s HR Strategy to support the delivery of the UCD Global Engagement Strategy 2021-2024.

Siiri Rekola

Global Mobility Coordinator - Partnerships

Siiri provides administrative support for exchange and mobility programs, managing communications and student records, and ensuring balanced exchange partnerships. She works closely with the Global Exchanges team to assess exchange proposals and foster relationships with partner institutions.

Sonya Rice

Recruitment Officer (Systems & Operations)

Sonya is responsible for managing and delivering the operation of UCD’s Recruitment & Admissions system, with particular emphasis on the CRM. This role examines systems performance and updates operational requests in order to improve efficiency.

Global Community Support Manager

Tyler leads the 'Community Support and Integration' function within the Global Community team which focuses on safety and wellbeing during global experiences (inbound and outbound students), responding to critical incidents, supporting cultural adjustment and integration, and expanding collaborative online global engagement opportunities for students and staff.

Michael oversees the communications activity, particularly content creation, in UCD Global. Prior to this role, he had extensive experience with creating video content and communicating on behalf of Irish universities. Michael's role in UCD Global focuses on print and digital communication channels across the entire Global department.

Lorraine leads the UCD Global Marketing and Communications team in addition to the UCD Global Markets and Operations team. Prior to this role Lorraine was Regional Lead and Manager for the UCD South Asia/India team for ten years.
