AMGEN Biotech Experience Ireland
The Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) is an innovative science education programme that introduces secondary school students to the excitement of scientific discovery. We provide training in molecular biology experiments for secondary school teachers with subsequent access to professional grade scientific equipment and curriculum-linked teaching materials to facilitate the teaching of laboratory practicals in the classroom, completely free of charge.
ABE has been in Ireland since 2014 and is hosted by Systems Biology Ireland. Although based in UCD, there are distribution centres in (opens in a new window)Drumcondra Education Centre, (opens in a new window)Monaghan Education Centre, and (opens in a new window)Laois Education Centre.
