RIGHTS-TO-UNITE launch event
On 8 November 2024, Professor Imelda Maher represented the Dublin European Institute at the official launch of ERC-funded RIGHTS-TO-UNITE project, led by Professor Dagmar Schiek. Prof Maher led discussion on the theme of ‘Integration or Governance’, leading to a wide exchange of ideas across disciplines. A number of leading EU studies scholars also led discussions including Professors Brigid Laffan, Chancellor of the University of Limerick and John O’Brennan of Maynooth University and Professor Ben Tonra of UCD School of Politics and International Relations. The event also featured presentations by both PhD students and postdoctoral researchers working on the RIGHTS-TO-UNITE project and was opened by Professor Kate Robson Brown, UCD Vice President for Research, Innovation and Impact with Professor Niamh Moore-Cherry, College Principal of UCD College of Social Sciences and Law, also present.
