As authorship relates to scientific contribution, discussion of authorship will take place separate from issues of payment. Payment cannot be used as a substitute for co-authorship, nor will co-authorship be accepted in lieu of payment. If there is a substantial intellectual and/or scientific contribution to your work, it is expected that co-authorship will be credited to the relevant member of the CSTAR consulting team in the resulting publications (i.e. manuscripts, abstracts, posters and presentations). Please ensure the statistician approves the manuscript before submission.
For details on co-authorship please read the Note on Authorship.
The guidelines on authorship and acknowledgement by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors will be used as reference (opens in a new window)http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html.
