What we do

UCD CSTAR services are offered through one-to-one consultations and training courses and provide health researchers in Ireland with information on methodological developments and best practice in health-related research methods.

We use a wide range of statistical methods to answer queries, from exploratory data analysis to multiple regression, survival analysis and hierarchical models. If you have a specific query, contact us to see how we can help.

One-to-one consultations
After you have contacted us with a query and a brief initial consultation form (ICF) has been completed, an initial consultation will be scheduled with our consultant to discuss the details of your project. The time it takes to assess your requirements is free.  After that, if there is work (i.e. advice on methodologies, report writing, etc.) that you would like UCD CSTAR to carry out, a work plan will be drafted containing timelines, costs and deliverables. For details on co-authorship please read here.  For our Terms of Business please read here.

Workshops/Training Courses
We offer courses in SPSS and RStudio throughout the year. Courses can also be tailored to the specific needs of clients. Click here for further details.
