Dr Ricardo Segurado

Associate Professor

Dr Ricardo Segurado is an Associate Professor in Public Health Biostatistics in the School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science and a Consultant Biostatistician and Director of UCD CSTAR.

He has a background in statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology (Trinity College Dublin and Cardiff University), and long experience in statistical consulting and collaboration on health and biological sciences research, encompassing randomised controlled trials, biomarker identification, survival analysis, longitudinal modelling, missing data handling, gene-mapping studies, and many more.

He collaborates with researchers in genetics, across the full range of medical specialties, basic biological sciences, and the social and psychological sciences.

Katayoun Bahramian

Research Manager

Kat is the Centre Administrator and Research Manager. She coordinates consultations, marketing and event management. She graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle with a Master of Public Health in Community-Oriented Public Health Practice. Kat is passionate about patient & public involvement in gynae cancer research, Neapolitan pizza and baking. If your dog looks like Chewbacca, please send her a photo.

Phoebe Evans

Consultant Biostatistician

Phoebe Evans is a part-time Consultant Biostatistician, trainer and course assistant at CSTAR. She has a keen interest in data visualisation and statistical education. Her statistical software of choice is R/RStudio. Phoebe graduated from UCD with a BSc in Statistics and has previously worked at the Central Bank of Ireland and the Central Statistics Office.

Carolyn Ingram

Consultant Biostatistician

Carolyn Ingram is a part-time Consultant Biostatistician and simultaneously serves as an Educational Technologist within the SPHPSS. She is also a public health researcher and current PhD candidate at the School. Her doctoral research explores access to healthcare amongst individuals experiencing homelessness in Dublin. Carolyn holds a Master of Public Health from the Bordeaux School of Public Health and a degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington, Seattle.
