Ad Astra Fellowship Scheme - Information for Applicants to Computer Science
The School of Computer Science is seeking applications from exceptional candidates to join our School's faculty as Ad Astra Fellows. These Fellows will initially be appointed for five years, with a performance-based permanency review in year 4.
Computer Science in UCD is undergoing a period of growth and development because of the burgeoning ICT sector and the demand for graduates with computing skills. UCD CS has over 50 academic staff, 120 PhD students and 1,000 students on our undergraduate and taught graduate programmes. The School is keen to recruit academic staff to complement and enhance our existing research expertise and to teach on these programmes.

Insight - Centre for Data Analytics
We live in a data rich world, where almost everything we do results in a data record being created and stored somewhere. Our vision is to create a healthier, safer, more productive world by empowering a data-driven society to enable better decisions by individuals, communities, business and governments.
The Insight Centre for Data Analytics was created to realise this vision. UCD CCI - Centre for Cybersecurity & Cybercrime Investigation
UCD Centre for Cybersecurity & Cybercrime Investigation (CCI) is a unique, world-class education and research centre with strong and well-established collaborative relationships with law enforcement and industry.
We work in the areas of education, training, research and tool development.

CeADAR - Centre for Applied Data Analytics
The primary outputs of the CeADAR centre are (opens in a new window)industry prototypes and demonstrators along with state-of-the-art reviews of data analytics technology, tools, best practice methodologies and processes.
The Centre has an extensive catalogue of technology demonstrators, IP and big data analytics technology reviews, which are all immediately available for evaluation by CeADAR members. [(opens in a new window)more]
Consus
CONSUS is a collaborative research partnership between UCD and Origin Enterprises PLC that is supported by SFI, which investigates digital, precision agriculture and crop science. Building on UCD's strengths as a centre for agricultural science and data analytics, UCD has partnered with Origin Enterprises plc to develop digital tools for farmers and agronomists. [more]
ML Labs
ML Labs is an SFI Centre for Research Training in Machine Learning. It addresses the urgent industry demand for Machine Learning talent through the delivery of over 100 PhDs in the next 7 years. The centre is a joint initiative between UCD, DCU and TUD and brings together leaders in their field to supervise and train PhD students. Students will benefit from world-class, inter-institutional programmes, led by active researchers as part of a mature interdisciplinary environment that emphasises cutting-edge research with an industry-relevant and entrepreneurial focus.
