Time: 10am to 1pm
Venue: ALE H2.38 SCH (O’Brien Centre)
Registration: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/980034027157
Free event. Lunch provided.

Any family member or close friend of man with prostate cancer who played a significant role in supporting them during treatment is invited to attend this event. Help prostate cancer researchers understand the experience of supporting your loved one at this difficult time.

How the event works:

This 3-hour session will include small and large group discussions on selected topics highlighting the effect of prostate cancer on households and carers. This symposium will lead to a mechanism for integrating support-givers’ insight into relevant forums and initiatives.

You will select the top 2 topics that you'd like to discuss with other participants at the event. Tell us how you're related to a man with prostate cancer so we can understand where to place you and let us know if you have any concerns or extra needs that you may be worried about!

About IPCOR

The Irish Prostate Cancer Outcomes Research (IPCOR) is a national clinical quality registry based in University College Dublin (UCD). IPCOR was established to identify variability in prostate cancer treatment, outcomes and quality of life to ultimately improve patient experience.

The IPCOR project incorporates patient views through the Lived Experiences Advisory Panel (LEAP). This patient panel has provided valuable insights for improving project processes and understanding what questions are important to affected men. IPCOR is now expanding its patient and public engagement efforts with a Support-giver Symposium scheduled for Wednesday, 4th September at UCD.
