The E3100 large chamber critical point dryer has been an industry standard for 30+ years and is used in numerous scanning electron microscopy (SEM) laboratories around the world. Primarily used for drying biological and other sensitive specimens. After drying, samples usually must be coated with a nanolayer of metal for conductivity, before being imaged in SEM.
