Details: Presenting is challenging. This workshop will provide guidance to make it easier and help you convey your work more effectively. We will focus on presentation structure, slide design, and practice. By the end, you will have a three-part blueprint for giving better talks.
About the speaker: (opens in a new window)Joshua Alley is an Assistant Professor in the School of Politics and International Relations at University College Dublin. His research focuses on international relations, with an emphasis on alliance politics and the political economy of security. In his work, he explores the financial consequences of military alliances, alliance politics in democracies, and mass attitudes towards political violence. Several other working papers examine the political economy of intra-state conflict. His work is published or forthcoming in International Studies Quarterly, The Journal of Conflict Resolution, Research & Politics, Security Studies, International Interactions, and two edited volumes. He has also written an opinion piece for The National Interest.
