School of Civil Engineering researcher featured on BBC talking about his research on offshore wind “What do Ireland’s shipwrecks have to do with renewable energy?”
Dr. Mark Coughlan is a Marine Geoscientist based in the School of Civil Engineering / iCRAG Research Centre in UCD, working with Assoc. Prof. Mike Long. His work uses various techniques to examine the seabed and offshore soils to help de-risk offshore wind turbine construction.
Some of his work was recently featured on the BBC StoryWorks video series.
