The Belfield campus is serviced directly by bus route numbers 3, 39a, 11B and 17. The 46A, 84 and 145 buses stop at the main entrance of UCD, about five minutes walk to the Daedalus Building. The Visitor Leap Card is a handy pay-as-you-go smart card for use on all public transport. (opens in a new window)Bus Éireann provides a nationwide bus service throughout Ireland with most major areas having a regular link to Dublin. The majority of Dublin services terminate in Busáras (Central Bus Station) from where it is a short walk to O'Connell Street for connecting buses to UCD. UCD has several entrances and car parks. You are advised to consult UCD’s Traffic Office for information about how to get to UCD, traffic restrictions on campus, and parking facilities.
By Taxi
Dublin has a good taxi service and there is a plentiful supply of taxis operating in the city. It is possible to hail a taxi from the street, but convenient taxi ranks are located opposite the Gresham Hotel on O’Connell Street and opposite Trinity College on College Green. Remember to check the fare with the taxi driver before the journey.

(opens in a new window)The Dubin Area Rapid Transport (DART) local rail system serves a station close to UCD at Sydney Parade. It is roughly 30 minutes on foot. In term time, a regular shuttle bus runs from the station to UCD (O'Reilly Hall carpark).
