Her generosity in sharing her experiences and insights is remarkable and inspiring for those who attended her many events.
On March 3rd UCD, MOLI, SSoL hosted ‘Reportage and Reform: Human Rights, Conflict and Displacement – Special Panel with Sally Hayden’
This event was open to the public and involved an international panel of experts who work on immigration, human rights and international law including: (opens in a new window)Professor Audrey Macklin (Faculty of Law, University of Toronto), (opens in a new window)Professor Siobhan Mullally (Director of the Irish Centre for Human Rights, University of Galway), and our own (opens in a new window)Professor Aisling Swaine (Professor of Peace, Security and International Law, University College Dublin).
Sally presented a research seminar ‘International journalism and law: Reflections and experiences’ ‘to the staff of UCD Sutherland School of Law on March 5th.
Over the duration of the week, Sally led several classes, presenting thought provoking analysis on matters relating to journalism, law, career pathways, war and violence and the European Union’s purported migration “crisis” in the (opens in a new window)undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes for the following modules:
