The Young Algaeneers Symposium is made by and for young scientists working in both the microalgae and seaweed sectors. During YAS, the next generation of Algaeneers network and interact with key players in the algae industry and academia. The conference provided an invaluable opportunity to work alongside other algaeneers to come up with innovative solutions to challenges in the algae industry.
Felix obtained funding from the CEA seed funding call for Dissemination and Engagement to attend this conference. Felix presented his work titled "Waste Derived Nutrient Supplementation of Brewery Wastewater with Anaerobic Digestate for Sustainable EPA production" and advertised Phycoclub on behalf of the committee.
Aoife and Sneha presented their work titled "Investigating the Potential of Nannochloropsis for Valorization of Anaerobic Digestate into Animal Feed" and " Effects of Non-Thermal Plasma on Wet Nannochloropsis oceanica biomass", respectively.
