Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine visits UCD Lyons Farm
The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue T.D. visited UCD Lyons Farm on 11th May to meet with staff and students to find out about the most up to date research taking place and the Universities ambitious development plans for Lyons Farm.
Following a short presention by Prof. Frank. Monahan, Dean and Head of School, UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science, Prof Michael Doherty, Dean and Head of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Prof. Alex Evans, Chair UCD Lyons Management Committee Minister McColalogue received a tour of the farm including a visit to the UCD Long Terms Grazing Platform where extensive research on MultiSpecies Swards is taking place.
