SBI Professors Bond and Smith in National News

Professors Jonathan Bond and Owen Smith of Systems Biology Ireland have been featured a number of times in the Irish national press over the last several weeks. Both professors have been interviewed as part of ongoing coverage documenting childhood leukaemia and immunotherapy treatment and research in Ireland.
Stories were published in news outlets across the country including The Irish Independent, The Irish Examiner, Image.ie and medicalindependent.ie. Smith was also interviewed on the Sean O’Rourke show on RTE Radio 1 and Bond likewise spoke to local radio outlets in Dublin and Cork.
Bond is the UCD Brendan McGonnell Professor of Paediatric Molecular Haemato-oncology and leads the paediatric leukaemia research programme between SBI and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. Smith is a principal investigator at the National Children’s Research Centre, Crumlin, and SBI.
