Welcome to the 2025/2026 Seminar Series.

We are delighted to welcome you to this years Research Seminar Series as we host an exciting list of UCD's experts discussing the latest topics across the agri-food industry.
The purpose of this seminar series is to share details of current research activities taking place across the major research themes underpinning the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science.

Each seminar will focus on a key topic of interest and will feature an academic staff member from the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science and on occasion an external speaker who is also an expert in the area of agriculture and food science.

The Research Seminar Series is open to all. It is a hybrid event, but we would welcome you to come along and join us in FS108 as tea and coffee is also provided.

For our first Seminar, we are excited to hear from Professor Trudee Fair; Professor in Animal Physiology and Reproduction. Trudees research work has always been driven by a deep curiosity to further understand the egg as the foundation of life: What are the factors, the genes, the proteins, and the molecular structure of the egg that make it ready to sustain fertilisation, develop into an embryo, and form a viable pregnancy? This is sure to be a truly interesting start to this years Research Seminar Series.
